Terry is an exceptional business owner. She is very easy to work with, responding the same day to requests, often within a few hours. The work done by her company in our yard made a very big difference in the overall appearance of our yard and house. She is clear in her commitments and always does what she says she is going to do. She is very organized and follows up quickly on any questions. I highly recommend Terry to anyone who wants a more attractive outdoor space.

It is with the most heartfelt appreciation that I express my thank you for the service of planting my shrubs immediately when asked. I was so surprised, but ever so pleasantly so, that this event came to pass. I truly believe you were my gift of the day. May God bless you for your kindness and service. There really are special people in this world and you so proved to be one of them.

I wanted to thank you & your crew for making my flower beds look so beautiful this summer. We really enjoyed the new look & colors in the flower beds. There was absolutely no way I could have gotten the results you did this seaon. So I thank you so much for all your effort & hard work.

Thank you! I smile every time I look at the yard & driveway areas.

‘Out of Nature’ sculpture show

Description

On October 1-22 2017, the gardens at Newport House on the Welsh borders open to the public and 'Out Of Nature' presents its 3rd sculpture show.

With more than 40 artists and 300 pieces from all over the UK, Out Of Nature is one of the largest sculpture shows in the country in scale and in quality of artists represented.

It was created in 2013 to celebrate the link with nature and to invite everyone to let themselves be awed and bewitched by the beauty of autumn colours in the formal gardens and the walled vegetable gardens of Newport House, resonating with the magic of sculptures of all sizes, shapes and materials.

Central to the show is The Cart Shed, a charity that works with people with mental health issues (such as post traumatic stress disorder, depression, bi-polar disorder…) through coppicing and green wood craft. The Cart Shed will be present throughout the show with staff and volunteers happy to demonstrate activities and share its experiences.

All profits from the show are donated to The Cart Shed.

Retrofitting and enhancing green infrastructure

Description

As demand for new homes rises, our towns and cities are becoming more densely populated. How can we make the most of the increasingly limited opportunities for green infrastructure in our urban areas?

Green infrastructure - such as parks, green spaces, trees, and sustainable drainage - are vital if our urban areas are to be attractive, healthy, liveable places. But finding the space for green infrastructure is becoming increasingly difficult.

This conference, organised by TCPA, will bring together leading practitioners from across the sector with new perspectives, ideas and inspiration.
